SWAROVSKI CHRISTMAS 2019
Task
Taking inspiration from their fabulous Christmas Advert ‘Naughty or Nice’ we designed, fabricated and installed three separate moments in their flagship location on Oxford Street.
First up, the main boutique window – this was a showstopper. A rotating circular platform featuring the Naughty or Nice booth (in this case showcasing jewellery) on one side and a half Christmas tree decorated in crystal baubles and stars on the other continuously spun which mimicked the advert directly. The booth was made using sprayed MDF and featured integrated lighting, changing LED detail and even the moving level from Naughty to Nice positions.
Next up the corner window of this icon store – again taking inspiration from their advert we designed a dual sided walk in naughty or nice booth. You could walk in and press the button to be told if you were ‘naughty’ or ‘nice’. This was programmed to provide the user with an answer at random. This unit was also fabricated from Sprayed MDF with gold detail and moving LED lights.
And finally we created a giant stack of Swarovski blue boxes in the middle of the shop floor – these boxes were finished with silver bows and a selection of them were left open to reveal the sparkling Christmas collection- each of these open boxes had LED strip lights to highlight the jewellery and acrylic covers. Hanging over the large stack of boxes is a double sided Neon sign made using bespoke neon tubing, acrylic and foamex.
Each of the three areas sits on hemmed and finished red carpet with DTM printed e-flute boxes as added decoration.
