Uniqlo UK invited us to tender concepts for their October warm campaign windows featuring their vast assortment of layered garments including their HEAT TECH range, ultra light down jackets, vests, coats and sort after knitwear items.
We proposed three different looks for the window run and we were delighted to be successful in our pitch with our ice windows being the chosen concept to be commissioned to feature on London’s Oxford Street and Regent Street.
Using a mix of oversized acrylic sheets we created tall shards of ice with a snow capped, frosty detail as a contrasting backdrop for the stylish, colour blocked models.
The frost detail on our shards was created using a treatment mix of replica snow and wax which was adhered to the glass at exacting temperatures to withstand the heat from the window lighting.
With models then standing on blocks of replica ice made with acrylic and clear film we ensured our Warm campaign concept emulated the warmth provided by the cosy Uniqlo inner and outer wear as they were encased in arctic conditions.
We installed the six windows over two evenings and finished with optically clear vinyl printed frost frames for the window edge.
